ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Emma Benson and I am First Class honours graduate in BSc Television and Broadcasting, currently working as a Quality Control and Assurance operator for Sky. Meaning that I currently check the audio, visual and quality standards of most of Sky's content.

Where as at university I got to use industry standard equipment to produce Live shows for the public! Over the last four years I have learnt to adapt fast to different teams and fast paced workflows, edit with Avid Media Composer and Premier-pro, and gain a better understanding of the behind the curtain workings of TV. Using a variety of software has allowed me to understand how all the skills I am learning are transferable in any job.
I have been extremely lucky and found my passion early in life!
After deciding I wanted to work in an industry of like-minded and creative people I knew that the television and broadcasting industry was where I was heading.
Three years of studying it and I'm finally ready to venture into the world and put my skills into something I love doing, Production!
After gaining experience in the television industry it was very clear it was where I want to be.
From pre-production to post-production, I love the creation process in its entirety, and there is nothing else I could see myself doing.
I know the television industry is for me and am willing to put my heart and soul into everything I do to make it a reality.
