Never thought I would be standing on top of a burial mound filming in the freezing winter air to capture the perfect shot... Yet there I was, working the camera to capture how stunning the view at Kingley Vale really is.

After being given the freedom to chose a topic to center our final Live TV Broadcast around, Nature seemed to pop straight to mind with the team. After working the logistics, and content, we then had the frighting job of pitching! I'm the first to admit I wouldn't normally be first to place myself presenting as it's not a strong suit of mine. Although after pitching again and again I have found that as long as you know what you are talking about, and can justify your reasoning and solutions to possible problems, there really is nothing to be nervous about!

You'd think waking up early on a cold winter morning and walking a few miles in freezing wind while filming would put a dampener on a filming shoot... Not for me! This amazing opportunity to help create a show about Nature in and around Hampshire really strengthened my love for filming on location! There really is nothing like being out on location filming, and then getting to see what you filmed on a BIG screen!

So they gave us free rain with the entire show... including SET! Yes, the first two shows had different sets, but they both had the same basis, BIG RED SOFAS! Well that just wouldn't do for our last LIVE show. After discussing what we could pull off realistically, and a few favours, we managed to get two giant hay bundles, a pull across fencing, a more appropriate table, and some lovely comfy looking outdoor blankets! Additionally, plants may have disappeared from all over the building for an hour or so... With the small addition of scattered autumn leaves, and orange lighting and tiny robins the set really helped the team believe we could pull it off! Once health and safety cleared us, the set made the show ten times better, and really added to the atmosphere of the show. Who new a set could really bring a show to life!

However, Live broadcasting comes with its problems, especially with the UK's winter weather! Even after creating backup plans, sometimes it really is down to the presenter carrying the show no matter what is thrown at them. Tobias Woodward, was an amazing sport when he had to plant seeds in the pouring British rain under an umbrella. He pulls it off with a smile and makes what could have been a total disaster carry on like it happens everyday. We all got a smile out of the end of the show that we forgot it wasn't meant to happen that way! I mean who else could pull off watering soil in the poring rain?
